My first harvest of sweet bell baby turnips. These

by Garden

My first harvest of sweet bell baby turnips. These are still quite small but I have loads of them and they need harvesting young in the spring before they get too woody.
I feel that many vegetables are better picked slightly early rather than later. The tender taste more than makes up for the smaller size.

They are multi-sown in clumps so I can pick and come again.

Sowed 19th Feb. So about 70days. Covered with fleece the whole time. I think a later sowing may have caught up. Good catch crop though. Will follow with beans.
